This policy explains how EziShopper handles information when you use the EziShopper mobile application.
Information you provide
- Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication provider identifier, and profile preferences.
- Shopping content, including lists, items, spaces, budgets, stores, pantry records, recipes, comments, reminders, and purchase history.
- Photos and documents you choose to capture or select, such as item photos, shopping-list photos, and receipts.
- Content you choose to share with household members or send to optional AI features.
Information collected automatically
- App diagnostics, crash reports, performance measurements, device and app-version information.
- Usage and interaction events used to understand feature reliability and improve EziShopper.
- Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data when advertising is enabled and permitted by your device settings.
- Notification tokens needed to deliver notifications you request.
Optional permissions and AI
EziShopper requests device permissions only when a related feature needs them. Camera, photo-library, microphone, speech recognition, notification, and location access remain subject to your device controls. Location-based features are optional and are not enabled by default. Cloud AI is opt-in. Before cloud AI uses purchase history, photos, receipts, location, preferences, or household activity, EziShopper presents the relevant consent controls.
How information is used
We use information to provide and secure your account; store, sync, and share shopping data at your direction; provide reminders and notifications; process captures; personalize optional suggestions; show and measure advertising; diagnose crashes and performance; prevent abuse; and improve the service.
Storage and service providers
EziShopper is local-first and keeps app data on your device. If you sign in or enable cloud features, selected data is processed using Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and—where enabled—Cloud Storage. Google Mobile Ads may process advertising data. Apple and Google process sign-in information when you select their authentication services.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the app, with other EziShopper users when you deliberately join or share a shopping space, when required by law, or to protect users and the service.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you remove it, delete the app, or use an in-app deletion control. Cloud information is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and service integrity. You can delete your Firebase account from EziShopper's Privacy settings. Account deletion removes associated cloud account data while preserving offline lists on your device unless you separately delete them. See the account deletion instructions.
Security
We use platform security controls, authenticated access, scoped database rules, app attestation, encryption in transit, and iOS/Android device data-protection controls. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
EziShopper is a general-audience shopping utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You can manage cloud AI permissions, analytics and personalization choices, advertising consent where offered, notifications, device permissions, data export, remembered preferences, and account deletion through EziShopper and your device settings.
International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to international transfers.
